The Clear Advantages of Membership

DRM membership is open to any commercial and non-commercial companies, associations, or individuals interested in shaping the promising future of digital radio DRM.

In the few years since its inception, DRM has expanded into an international consortium of broadcasters, manufacturers, network operators, research institutions, broadcasting unions, regulatory bodies and NGOs. The DRM Consortium now has more than 80 members.

DRM is the place where the engineers from cutting-edge global manufacturing firms work in tandem with the world´s best-known media organisations. Come and join the DRM Consortium! Please email the DRM Project Office to receive an application form.

"Nautel's slogan, "Making Digital Radio Work", expresses our passion for radio and digital radio in particular. As a member of the DRM consortium we are able to put our words into action by helping promote DRM as a solution for customers looking to move to digital broadcasting. Consortium membership also helps us stay in step with the latest DRM developments so we can ensure our products will meet the needs of digital broadcast customers." Hal Kneller, Nautel.

"We strongly believe in the power and general advantages of open standards. Digital Radio Mondiale is such a global technology based on open standards and ready to affect people all over the world in their daily lives.

We highly appreciate the DRM Consortium as the main coordinator for DRM related efforts and events all around the world, raising the awareness and enabling hands-on experiences. In addition it is a most efficient place for quickly sharing and updating information and establishing relevant contacts. We feel that every activity we contribute to the DRM Consortium together with other members immediately benefits the target audiences and ultimately the users of DRM." Alexander Zink, Fraunhofer Institute IIS

"The Voice of Russia and RTRN are founder members of the DRM Consortium. We joined together with the  BBC, DW, RNW, RTP and other international and national broadcasters. On June 12th 2003, we all switched on regular DRM transmissions for the very first time. DRM is now the adopted standard for all future digital radio broadcasting in Russia and this wouldn't have happened without the DRM Consortium. " Rashel Staviskaia, Voice of Russia
