In India there are many private radio stations operating the FM analogue band as is AIR. Do you have any idea when FM DRM will be operating in India, as FM is the sure way to popularise DRM in India?

Your question has part of the answer, too. DRM in the FM has been successfully demonstrated in India in 2011 and 2021 and mandating it for the FM would complete the loop, giving one standard for one country, encouraging the Indian receiver manufacturing and giving confidence to the great automotive industry which has provided already over 4.5 million cars with line-fitted DRM radio receivers.
Many experts, supporters and members of the non-profit Consortium think so and are ready to support such an important digital step forward. But the ultimate decision can only be an official Indian one for the benefit of the country and all Indian listeners.
