Is DRM sound fidelity same as FM reception or better? Can DRM receiver also get analogue reception? [Prof. Ranjan Gupta, Pune]

The DRM audio delivered in SW, AM and FM is the same, if not better, than FM sound (a massive improvement at least in AM, as compared with analogue). DRM is a flexible standard and the robustness and coverage are variables that can be adjusted to deliver even better than FM quality, under certain conditions, on your digital receiver. For more details please check  out the DRM Handbook. Any digital receiver will always have the possibility of receiving analogue programmes, as well.
