Are all DRM receivers capable with Emergency Warning Functionality feature? [Sunil Bhatia]

The Emergency Warning Functionality (EWF) is a key part of the DRM standard. To ensure wide-spread availability of the EWF feature in receivers sold in a certain country, the national authorities should come up with the required communication and policies to guide the receiver and automotive industry on what features are required for devices sold in this country. As an example, the EU has recently launched a program that requires all receiver manufacturers to support digital terrestrial radio in future devices sold in this area. Such an official policy would be the right mechanism to demand full EWF support in DRM receivers for the country.
