Second Education Test Pushes DRM Education Project Forward

Following a small test transmission in July, the BBC and Encompass announced a second public test in early August to prove that DRM is a suitable distribution platform for audio, text, graphics and everything that is needed for education required in parts of the world where the internet is not available. The actual project is aimed at Africa, so this was just a preliminary test for which a lot of positive feedback came from all over Europe.

The DRM Consortium would like to carry out the full DRM distance education project in Africa and would invite interested countries, government and organisation in the Caribbean to express an interest so that the project can be extended to that part of the world, too.
