The DRM consortium aims to make a mark at the China Content Broadcasting Network (CCBN) exhibition, an annual event held April 22-25 in Beijing and organised by the Academy of Broadcasting Science, National Radio and Television Administration. It is expected that over 600 exhibitors and 80,000 visitors will attend the event.
The CCBN exhibition covers a wide range of fields, including broadcasting and television, online audiovisual, film, cultural and technological integration, information-based audiovisual, consumer electronics, telecommunications, IT and more.
Professional audiences include broadcasting companies from across China, online streaming companies, film groups, integrated media centers, universities, research institutes, industry associations, as well as sectors such as education, media, telecommunications, IT, consumer electronics and international broadcasting companies.
The DRM Consortium members Fraunhofer IIS, RFmondial, Starwaves, Elements Innovation and RF2Digital will be attending and presenting innovative DRM solutions. As China is working towards the standardization of the DRM and CDR standards for domestic coverage, the extra benefits of DRM (like emergency warning functionality – EWF), the new modules and receiver solutions recently unveiled and the performance of DRM in cars etc. will be part of the DRM companies’ contribution to CCBN 2025.
Other DRM member companies to attend CCBN are also Dolby, Panasonic and Gospell.
Meanwhile, with the start of the A25 summer schedule, it is notable that CRI (China Radio International) has introduced 8 hours of test transmissions on shortwave. Please check: schedule.drm.org.
