The next meeting of the German DRM Forum will take place on 26–27 May at the Museum Funkerberg in Königs Wusterhausen. The gathering will provide updates on the latest global developments in Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM), with a special focus on initiatives in Germany and across Europe.
Key topics will include the use of DRM Emergency Warning Functionality (EWF) for public alerting, as well as an overview of current and upcoming DRM activities. As part of the event, participants will have the opportunity to explore the Museum Funkerberg, including a guided tour of the former transmitter facilities.
To mark the occasion, demo content from the DRM Education Project will be broadcast via SE-TA 2. This content was recently used in a successful test transmission by Encompass Digital Media from the UK to a school in The Gambia, demonstrating the potential of DRM for delivering educational materials efficiently and over long distances.
