DRM – How Make in India Becomes Made in India

At the recently concluded BES conference in New Delhi the two senior DRM representatives making DRM presentations stressed that DRM is Indian and that progress needs to be made so that DRM can be used for its services and benefits in the FM frequency band by the public, commercial and community stations. Alex Zink, DRM Vice-Chairman, explained how this can be done building on existing infrastructure and digital know-how in the country for the benefit of all Indian stakeholders.

Ruxandra Obreja, DRM Chairman, also underlined the Indian credentials and progress of DRM in India and explained how one standard (DRM) for one country, India, in all frequency bands meets the requirement of the Prime Minister’s Make in India initiative by establishing a vibrant domestic digital radio sector and opening export “Made in India” opportunities.
