Broadcast and media professionals from across the Caribbean and beyond are gathering in Bridgetown, Barbados for the 56th Annual General Assembly of the Caribbean Broadcasting Union to be held August 18-20. This premier regional gathering brings together key players in media, communications, and technology for three days of networking, knowledge-sharing, and celebration under the theme “Caribbean Media and the Orange Economy”.
The DRM Consortium chairman will make an e-learning presentation during the observers’ session of the plenary on August 19th on the recent successful distance education project in the Gambia. This demonstrated fully the capacity of DRM to deliver education at great distance when the internet or even electricity is not available.
