In her presentation to the general DBS conference and her contribution to the spectrum debate, the DRM Chairman stressed how DRM can deliver to all broadcasters’ needs in an imaginative, integrated way which uses all spectrum bands wisely and to their full potential – for commercial gain but also social enhancement. The new sound of DRM, its potential and its new receiver development were fully explored during the March 4th workshop. Participants had a unique opportunity to question DRM experts about the practical steps needed to create a healthy digital system involving key stakeholders: listeners, regulators, broadcasters and the receiver manufacturing industry, and were able to experience first-hand the increased choice, enhanced sound quality, text and additional data services offered by the new Avion DRM radio recently unveiled in India. A comprehensive presentation of the workshop is offered below by an Australian online publication:  Radio Info Online and in Asia Radio Today.
