The Digital Radio Mondiale DRM Consortium (www.drm.org) is getting ready for the first of its three IBC events. All those interested are invited to take part in the virtual pre‑IBC event on 8 September at 1200 CEST. Even if they cannot attend IBC in Amsterdam in person, all participants worldwide will get the opportunity to receive the latest updates from members of the Consortium on the Digital Radio Mondiale standard, ahead of the industry’s flagship gathering in the Netherlands.

The pre‑IBC session 1200-1400 CEST on Tuesday September 8th will offer an in‑depth, first‑hand look at the latest receiver solution developments, deployments and innovation announcements across all regions.
Following the virtual event on the 8th, the Consortium will host two in‑person DRM events during IBC 2026, in partnership with Fraunhofer IIS and Nautel:
12 September 1600 –1730 CEST – Fraunhofer IIS (Booth 8.B80)
13 September 1530–1700 CEST – Nautel (Booth 8.B73)
The highlights of the DRM IBC participation will focus on new receiver solutions, many of them multi-standard, on ground-breaking projects using the versatile features of the DRM global standard like e-Learning and Emergency Warning Functionality (EWF). The country update has its own new elements worth noting, too.
The virtual pre-IBC event, with its updates and question and answer session, promises to be interactive, lively and a good opportunity to get a quick, comprehensive view of the great strides made by DRM since last year’s IBC event.
