DRM at First Edition of WAVES in India

The DRM Consortium, represented by some of its key members in India and the world, will take part in the first World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit for M&E Industry in Mumbai, May 1-4.

World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) – is a key forum for promoting discussions, collaboration, and innovation in the M&E industry. The event will bring together industry leaders, stakeholders and innovators who will discuss prospects, challenges, promote global trade and influence the sector’s future.

India with its dominant position in Media and Entertainment is poised to become one of the leaders in the sector. The summit, a first event of such ambition organised by the Indian government and a few other key organisations in the domain aims to promote India as a one stop destination for content creation, investment and ‘Create in India’ opportunities to enhance the country’s global outreach in the industry.

The summit which will comprise an exhibition, a conference and a fair or bazaar for concrete business has four pillars: broadcasting, animation, digital media and film.

The DRM presence is within the Broadcasting and Infotainment segment. This encompasses the traditional and evolving landscape of information and entertainment delivery, prioritizing information, empowering citizens, and going global by adapting to the challenges of the 21st Century.

The DRM Consortium will be present during the exhibition showing the latest DRM enhancements in the most concrete way possible. This is a unique chance to experience DRM and meet Indian and world digital radio experts. Please check: drm.org/waves-2025 for more information as we are continuing our preparations for WAVES.
