During their special event (“DRM Broadcast End-to-End Solution”) at the IBC Expo in Amsterdam on September 14th, the Chinese receiver manufacturer Gospell (en.gospell.com) have launched their pocket DRM digital radio GR-221 in cooperation with CML Micro (cmlmicro.com) and Cambridge Consultants (cambridgeconsultants.com). The receiver is offering full-band DRM digital and analogue AM/FM reception. Among its many features (xHE-AAC, Journaline, DRM scrolling text message) there is also the emergency warning reception. This eco-friendly and cost-effective receiver is powered by a rechargeable battery for long-lasting use. It offers perfectly clear sound and presents a very easy-to-use interface.
This latest Gospell digital receiver is based on the DRM1000 module produced by CML Micro and Cambridge Consultants. Receiver manufacturers around the world can acquire CML Micro’s small and cost-effective module to produce DRM digital radios similarly to what Gospell have done with their GR-221 pictured here during its IBC launch.
