The Digital Radio Mondiale™ (DRM) Consortium (www.drm.org) introduced a new technical development showcasing DRM Digital FM reception on a mobile Android phone on the inaugural day of the 28th international BES Expo 2024 (Broadcast Engineering Society – www.besindia.co.in) in Hall 12 A, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi India, 15—17 February 2024.
DRM Digital FM reception does not depend on proprietary receiver technology. It can be received easily on a mobile phone using an existing, off-the-shelf analogue FM tuner chipset, as already used in billions of devices.
This morning, the DRM Consortium showcased fully integrated DRM Digital FM live reception on an Android mobile phone at its booth (C1).
