The DRM Handbook (handbook.drm.org) freely available in English and Russian on the DRM website has now a new Chinese version, too. The big announcements on DRM coming from China last year, have encouraged the DRM Consortium to release a Chinese version of the DRM Handbook. Many thanks to Prof. Wang Xuan (Communication University of China), Mr. Ren HuaiJun (Beijing Testone Technology) and Ms. Fu ShanShan , Fraunhofer IIS, who translated the handbook.
This handbook or guide is aimed at the management of broadcasting organisations in areas of policy making as well as in programme making and technical planning. It explains in some detail the advantages gained by radio broadcasters introducing the DRM Digital Radio Mondiale technology and some of the technical and commercial considerations they need to take into account in formulating a strategy for its introduction.
For a quick, shorthand DRM introduction to the technology, there is also “DRM At A Glance”, also available in several languages: English, French, Arabic and Portuguese: glance.drm.org.
