The DRM Consortium is set to present a comprehensive overview of Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) as the ideal digital radio solution to cover the whole of  Indonesia, as part of a two-day digital radio workshop organised by Kominfo (Ministry of Communications, Indonesia). The workshop aims to highlight how DRM technology can meet Indonesia’s broadcasting needs.

  • The core features and benefits, highlighting the key features of DRM, such as superior coverage, spectrum efficiency, and energy savings.
  • Applications such as Emergency Warning Functionality, Public Signage, Distance Learning and many more. It will also explore how DRM can be implemented in the FM band and Band III, including low-power broadcasting, multichannel transmissions, and its suitability for community stations.
  • The implementation of DRM in AM, focusing on repowering MW & SW broadcasting while achieving significant energy savings.
  • Insights into how DRM is being implemented globally and presenting the range of DRM receivers available, from car radios to smartphones, portable devices, and desktop radios, with a focus on opportunities for the Indonesian industry.

This hybrid event will take place both in-person in Jakarta and online via Zoom, allowing participation from a wider audience.
