Senior members and experts of the DRM Consortium will be in Delhi during the week and will be speaking on all issues related to DRM. Apart from transmitter issues and simulcasting, the workshop will also have an update on DRM receivers and their introduction to the market.
AIR has already introduced DRM transmissions in the SW band by upgrading its existing technical infrastructure. Similarly, digital transmissions in MW band are likely to commence in the near future in India as the technical facilities are being upgraded. AIR has opted for the DRM30 standard for digital transmissions in AM bands. AIR has also devised a plan to introduce digital transmissions in FM Band.
