Field Trials

DRM Field Trials

The DRM standard is the high-quality and feature-enhanced digital replacement for the former analogue radio broadcasting AM and FM frequency bands. DRM has received the necessary recommendations from the ITU; hence it provides the international regulatory support for the transmissions in any radio frequency band.

Extensive tests, field trials and demonstrations have been conducted throughout the world using this standard in the past years. The results confirm that DRM, both in the AM as well as in the VHF/FM bands, performs according to the specifications and that it can be implemented to meet a wide range of requirements in all types of environments.
