How can an Android phone / tablet be converted into a DRM receiver?

(Indian DJ)

The simple answer is that for now this can be done by using a small dongle that is available in the market and attaching it to the mobile. This is available on the Indian market for about $20. NO other standard can supply this to the Indians at the moment. Moreover, Indian manufacturers can use mature modules that are available for DRM from 3 different suppliers. There is no use looking at expensive receivers available elsewhere in the world at prices unaffordable to the Indian listeners. A government decision to allow DRM in all frequency bands in the country would be crucial for creating a flourishing Indian ecosystem with Indian solutions and prices for Indian listeners.
