14 Nov Interest in DRM Technology Grows with Russian Broadcasters
The Natexpo exhibition is an annual event that was a real success this year. The DRM representatives registered a lot of interest in the DRM technology specially in the DRM for local coverage (also known as DRM+). RFmondial, a key Consortium member, presented the DRM for local coverage transmission chain with live signal received at the booth in the exhibition hall. The receivers used were the RFmondial professional monitoring receiver, the Gospell receiver and the software receiver solution from Fraunhofer IIS. All the discussions with the broadcasters, technical directors and the members of the Russian authorities were at a high technical level, with lots of very precise questions about the DRM technology and the practical implementation of the system.
Following from the recent announcement of the Russian authorities it seems that the broadcast business representatives are quite impressed with and seem to favour DRM.
