I used to receive Radio Romania International in DRM here in Argentina in Spanish. Not anymore. Why?
First, we should congratulate you for listening to DRM in great quality at over 13,000 kilometers from Europe. This demonstrates the unsurpassed qualities of digital shortwave. But as these are terrestrial waves, they can be affected by the solar activity which in turn influences the electromagnetic field value. At the moment these are not small but registering negative values. This affects sometimes the sound waves, especially towards South America. RRI is aware of the problem and constantly trying to get the best frequency but as this is a general problem and not a specific one, everyone is awaiting the better A23 season, after March 2023.
