The Digital Radio Mondiale DRM Consortium has held the first of its three IBC events, a virtual global meeting, on September 8th. This was a much-appreciated opportunity to unveil some of the new DRM developments on four important areas: new receivers and receiver solutions, the geographic increased take-up of DRM, the increased interest in the DRM special features and benefits: e-learning and Emergency Warning Feature (EWF) and other technical updates aimed at supporting the roll-out of DRM.
Practical details and demonstrations on some of the new announcements and updates introduced on September 8th will also feature during the two in‑person DRM events at RAI Amsterdam. They are organised in partnership with the two key DRM members Fraunhofer IIS and Nautel:
- 12 September 1600 –1730 CEST – Fraunhofer IIS (Booth 8.B80)
- 13 September 1530–1700 CEST – Nautel (Booth 8.B73)
At these events speakers will detail and show new receiver solutions, many of them multi-standard, will show how DRM is being used for its versatile features like e-Learning and Emergency Warning Functionality (EWF). The country update has its own new elements worth noting, too.
You are invited to meet key DRM experts and get a quick, comprehensive view of the great strides made by DRM since last year’s IBC event.
