There is a hunger for DRM affordable receivers and one answer comes from the Chinese company NewStar Electronics Co. Ltd. Fairly young it was established in 2006 as a pioneer design house in DRM receiver development.

The company has designed the first multi-media DRM receiver.  NewStar also developed the world’s first Diveemo DRM receiver by teaming with Thomson Broadcast of Switzerland the German research Institute Fraunhofer IIS.  Currently NewStar has just finished a limited number of pre-production affordable DRM stand alone receivers — DR111. Unveiled at NAB in April this latest version of DR111 has received some great reviews from DRMNA.
