16 Jan DRM Returns as a sponsor to BES in India, live after three years
Digital Radio Mondiale™ (DRM) endorses the International Broadcast Engineering Society of India (BES – www.besindia.co.in) in New Delhi in February. At the BES Conference and Exhibition, held again in person this year, after a break of three years, DRM Consortium will highlight its excellent benefits and recent achievements under the overarching theme “DRM Saves Lives and Keeps Radio in Business”. The conference and exhibition BES EXPO 2023 on Broadcast & Media Technology will be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi 110002, India 16-18 February 2023.
The DRM Consortium (www.drm.org) and some of its key Indian and international members and partners (including Ampegon, CML Microcircuits/Cambridge Consultants, Fraunhofer IIS, Gospell Digital Technologies, Inntot Technologies, RFmondial, Starwaves etc.) will welcome all visitors at Hall 7 – Booths 26 and 28, ready to share various aspects and benefits of the DRM technology. One of these is the delivery of emergency warnings (DRM-EWF a functionality that is part of the DRM standard) with audio and text in desired language – also available to the visually or hearing impaired.
The focus will be also on showing why DRM is best suited for digitising efficiently the FM band and why the standard is good for the whole Indian radio eco-system.
Major innovations in providing superefficient DRM for FM broadcasts will be also introduced.
New receiver solutions will be introduced for the first time in India, one more reason to join us at the BES exhibition and conference.
