The DRM standard is more than just better audio on all radio frequency bands.

DRM can be also used for several additional services, such as the Emergency Warning Functionality (EWF) which is integrated in the standard, as well as for Distance Education where internet is not available, for Public Signage, as a very informative tool in towns and cities or for important information on highways.
