On April 22nd C.M. Obrecht from Switzerland (DRM supporter) transmitted one hour of electronic music in DRM shortwave. The transmission was done by Encompass Media Services from their site in Woofferton, Ludlow, UK and reached in perfect sound Australia.
There have been different reports from Australia and even New Zealand attesting to the excellent reception of this music test in DRM without distortion or interference. One such report came from Brookton, Western Australia (14,745 kilometres) another from Teralba, New South Wales, from 17,046 kilometres and even further afield from New Zealand at over 18,000 kilometres, though the quality was not the same as the one registered in Australia, one of the intended targets of the broadcast.
