16 Nov Pure DRM Transmissions Increased in India

All India Radio has decided to extend the pure DRM transmissions on 4 key DRM mediumwave transmitters in Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai and Kolkata. Two of these (Chennai -783kHz and Delhi – 1638kHz) have a power of 20kW and the other two (Mumabai -1044kHz and Kolkata – 1008kHz) 100kW. They will operate practically 22 hours a day and will all carry News on one of the three channels now available as well as other popular programmes like Ragam and Vividh Bharati etc. These extended transmission were scheduled to start on November 14th and accompanying publicity was also to be provided.
