10 Apr DRM held its General Assembly in Halifax (Canada)
The general assembly of the DRM Consortium, held for the first time in Halifax Canada (hosted by Nautel), has welcomed the intense activity over the last twelve months and confirmed its main strategic directions. The members attending in person or via video conference call discussed at length the positive DRM developments in India, the sustained activity in Brazil and came up with concrete suggestions for the main challenge of DRM, receivers on all current platforms.
Ruxandra Obreja the DRM Chairman thought that DRM “is really getting in its stride with new interest shown in the DRM solutions in several Asian countries like Korea, Africa and some European countries. DRM can be used, and some of our members have already used the technology in ingenious ways.”
After the successful. DRM event at NAB Las Vegas the Consortium is preparing for new projects and events in Asia, Europe and that important calendar date for the industry, the IBC fair in September in Amsterdam.
