Small Coverage Pop-up Stations In India Through The Use Of DRM

In its latest quarterly edition, the prestigious IEEE magazine (ieee.org/bts), has also included a detailed article signed by Mr Yogendra Pal, Hon. Chairman of the DRM Indian Chapter, on the possibility of using DRM for small coverage pop-up stations in India. The questions about how best to set up such stations were posed recently by the Indian regulator, TRAI. The following article gives the arguments about using digital radio (DRM) for this, rather than analogue, in order to serve small geographic and interest communities all over this huge country:
