In response to a call for inventing a hybrid type of shortwave, the DRM Consortium chairman argues that an excellent solution exists already, DRM. Ruxandra Obreja suggests that rather than invent flavours of the same analogue shortwave system, both the technical experts and the industry should implement the comprehensive DRM solution and focus on receivers:
