DRM for Digital Learning at eLearning Africa 2026 fronted by Edugist

DRM educational solutions were again presented at the annual eLearning Africa event held this year June 3-5 in Accra, Ghana, by Edugist, a Nigerian education and media organisation. The eLearning Africa annual conference and exhibition, established in 2005, is the largest and most comprehensive knowledge sharing event for digital education, training and skills on the African continent.

At the Edugist booth, delegates had the opportunity to experience demonstrations showing how DRM can deliver educational audio, text, images, and interactive learning content to tablet devices, even where internet connectivity is limited, unavailable or temporarily disrupted.

DRM offers unique capabilities for education and training by combining wide-area digital broadcasting with multimedia services. Educational content, teacher training materials, public information, textbooks, quizzes and other learning resources can be delivered efficiently to large audiences without requiring continuous internet access.

The educational demonstrations build on concepts and content previously developed by DRM for educational and learning applications. DRM educational solutions have been demonstrated at previous editions of eLearning Africa, during the DRM Education Radio showcase in The Gambia in 2025, and as part of the UNESCO World Radio Day 2026 activities, which combined on one single day live webinars with actual DRM broadcasts across five continents.

Edugist representatives reported very positive feedback from delegates and policymakers attending the event. The discussions reinforced the view that radio remains a powerful tool for overcoming barriers related to connectivity, affordability and access to education. By combining this broad reach with multimedia and interactive services, DRM opens up new possibilities for digital learning.

DRM wishes to thank Edugist for representing the Consortium at eLearning Africa 2026 and for helping to promote innovative approaches to digital education across Africa.
