DRM Shortwave from Germany

From August 1st shortwave will be also broadcast from Germany by SE-TA 2 a private, German shortwave radio station. They will use a transmitter with 400W ERP, located in the town of Waldheim, the Saxony region in East Germany (between the cities of Leipzig, Chemnitz and Dresden), broadcasting on 6195 kHz.

The first transmissions are scheduled from 0900 UTC to 1400 UTC and will use different configurations in order to evaluate propagation and robustness.

The content of the programmes on air are ‘Oldies’ without advertising.

Update Aug 2 2023: Another test today on Aug 2 starting at 0900 UTC with “SE-TA 2 ‘Let`s Go Rockn`Roll'” programme and an upgraded antenna setup.

The radio station SE-TA 2 welcomes comments, suggestions, as well as reception reports using: se-ta@web.de which will be confirmed by an electronic QSL card.
