15 Sep DRM Steering Board Meeting
The shortest ever but possibly one of the most productive Steering Board meetings took place during IBC in Amsterdam on September 10th. The participants reviewed the main strategic directions and future activities. Updates on India, Russia, Brazil and the future activity of the Receiver Task Group were on the Agenda too.
The increased focus on receivers and marketing was noted along with the 3 ‘digital journey’ events at IBC and the work done on the new Marketing Pack. The SB endorsed the plans made for the Consortium to be represented at the Hong Kong Fair in October, ABU General Assembly in November and other activities. Revising the Broadcaster User Guide with extra information on DRM+, finalising a simpler Consortium Agreement and the healthy financial situation were all noted as well. The next Steering Board meeting will take place in the New Year.
