How was 2022 for DRM since the effects of previous hard years (lockdown, chipset scarcity, cut on energy and transmissions etc.) can still felt?
For the first time since 2019, key representatives of the DRM Consortium, a not-for-profit organisation with over 100 international members, made full presentations in the Technical Committee meetings held on 26th and 27th Nov 2022, as part of the the ABU General Assembly 2022 held in New Delhi, India.

On December the 5th the ATU (Africa Telecommunications Union), in collaboration with AUB, ITU, and DRM and WorldDAB consortiums, conducted a 1-day online workshop attended by over 110 participants from most of the African countries. They were representing governments, regulators, public, commercial and community stations. The aim of the event was to promote DSB (Digital Sound Broadcasting which recommends the two major open standards: DRM and DAB+) in Africa.
